Orgasm Shot® or O-Shot® Procedure

At Contemporary Health Center, our trained and caring practitioners are passionate about health and wellness. Women experiencing sexual difficulties or incontinence issues will find it easy to discuss intimate issues to practitioners who are ready to listen and provide effective treatment options.

WHAT IS THE O-SHOT®?

The O-Shot® (or Orgasm Shot®) is an innovative, nonsurgical procedure that uses the growth factors each woman has in her own body to stimulate vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation and healing and to activate the female orgasm system. The simple, nonsurgical, natural procedure is designed to help women with sexual problems or urinary incontinence, or to simply enhance the sexual experience. When combined with proper hormone balancing, the results can be quite exceptional. The entire process takes about 30 minutes and can be done with little or no discomfort.

The theory behind the O-Shot® involves an FDA approved procedure for harvesting of the Platelet Rich Plasma followed by a very specific method of amplifying or augmenting the vaginal tissues with injection of that PRP. According to the inventor, Dr. Charles Runels, the patient’s own platelet derived growth factors naturally attract the body’s own stem cells causing them to stimulate a healing effect that can cause new blood vessel, nerve and healthy tissue growth with the result being better function, better responsiveness, sensation and dramatically improved sexual satisfaction.

The O-Shot® is one of the only treatments available for female sexual dysfunction and stress urinary incontinence, and is one that is backed by scientific research.

The O-Shot® can help women suffering from:

  • Painful sex
  • Difficulty reaching orgasm
  • Difficulty becoming aroused

  • Decreased sensitivity
  • Stress urinary incontinence
  • Poor vaginal lubrication

FAQs

The O-Shot® procedure begins by the practitioner drawing a small blood sample in the same way as for a blood test. Then using a centrifuge and a proprietary method, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) that contains the special growth factors is isolated. After the vagina and clitoris are anesthetized using a very strong local anesthetic, a very thin needle is used to inject the growth factors into the precise locations. Women feel no pain.

Many women enjoy the effects of the O-Shot® almost immediately. Then as the growth and healing factors begin to rejuvenate the tissues, women experience enhanced the sexual response, decreased urinary incontinence, and increased vaginal lubrication. The improvements will intensify for around 3 months after treatment. Almost all women receiving the O-Shot® enjoy an increase in their sexual responsiveness, and for many, the increase is dramatic. Results can last from eighteen months to three years.
