A light amount of swelling and redness following treatment is to be expected. This usually lasts only hours and is not disruptive to daily activities. Patients on aspirin, ibuprofen, blood thinners, vitamin E and some medications may experience light bruising at the injection sites. It is recommended to avoid use of those that are non-essential for 1 week prior to treatment when possible. Either way, the tiny bruising, if any, will clear without issue and can be minimized with makeup the day after treatment. Rarely, irritation at the injection sites may occur.
